It’s like Soho House – for dogs.
A first-of-its-kind, all-in-one dog club is bringing bone-a-fido luxury to the Big Apple’s four-legged elite starting next week.
For $1,350 a month, members of Happy Tails’ fur class will have access to a variety of accommodations, including luxury puppy playgrounds and obstacle courses, grooming, pet wine, a canine therapist and psychic, and more at the company’s new Tribeca location.
“It was time for dog daycare to be revolutionized, and that’s what we’re doing here,” co-founder Irving Fallas told The Post during an exclusive first look at the Duane Street space.
Happy Tails — like the famous Soho House, where memberships go up to $5,163 a year — offers exclusivity and high-end luxury compared to the rest of the market, according to its founders.
Not everyone is given the OK to enter the luxurious life.
Prospective clients undergo a multi-step application and evaluation process, and are given the green light only when the club’s canine behavior therapist considers the puppy’s paw effect.
“We don’t foresee any problems, but of course people will come in and say their dog is wonderful and wonderful, even if it’s not. So we are very careful,” co-founder Teddy Tawil explained.
The 2,500-square-foot club features a jungle-themed area in which active fidos can jump through hoops hanging from the ceiling; a “tea room,” where quieter dogs can relax on grass and fake couches; an area with a playset for toddlers and another room full of balls and other toys.
“Living in New York City, many dogs are stuck in cramped apartments many times, and the alternative places where people can bring their dogs during the day are nowhere near what we offer here,” said. Tavil.
“We wanted to give the dogs the life they deserve,” Fallas added.
For those tough days, Happy Tails’ specialized staff will include a behavioral therapist, a “kiss” trainer and a group trainer — and even a psychic chiropractor and the occasional dog, according to the founders.
More than 100 candidates have already submitted an application before November. 21 openings — including several celebrities, according to the founders, who declined to give any names because of “dog customer privilege.”
Classy Hounds and their humans can also look forward to periodic birthday parties, movie nights, bachelorette mixers, bark mitzvahs, bread yoga classes and spa days.
Every day, however, Tawil and Fallas hope members will take advantage of Happy Tail’s in-house cafe, which will offer gourmet sandwiches, salads, juice and coffee for dog owners, as well as dog treats that resemble avocado toast. and ham. egg and cheese sandwiches, they said.
Members can also check out the retail section, which featured plush puppy toys in the form of a bottle of Casa Azul tequila, an Aperol Spritz cocktail and a Barkin bag for sale this week.
“[Happy Tails] it’s a way of life. You log in, log out, go to your computer and meet like-minded dog owners who work in cool industries and before you know it, you’re friends,” Fallas said. “It really is like Soho House.”
“Our whole idea is to bring dogs and their people together and create beautiful experiences for people,” Tawil said.
